breath of fall seared scarlet red&lt;br /&gt;Tears well within for comrades ,long dead.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#2&lt;br /&gt;Sunrise ripples across the lake,&lt;br /&gt;memories surface as I awake.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#3&lt;br /&gt;My fingers reach to touch the sky&lt;br /&gt;where swallows circle,then southwards fly.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#4 ENGAGEMENT&lt;br /&gt;Love flowers as commitment ties,&lt;br /&gt;as mere flirtation flies,then dies.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#5&lt;br /&gt;Shrieks of seagulls die on the breeze;&lt;br /&gt;Choldhood ebbs away on sunlit seas.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#6 Flowers of beauty within the heart&lt;br /&gt;festoon th gestures we impart.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#7&lt;br /&gt;One crysanthemum lay on his grave.&lt;br /&gt;Thus did fortune favour the brave.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#8&lt;br /&gt;Speaking volumes of words,unheard,&lt;br /&gt;spring flowers,in which all senses merge.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#9&lt;br /&gt;The requiem slowly brought a tear,&lt;br /&gt;stripping each sense of its veneer.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#10&lt;br /&gt;Shadows flicker across my eye;&lt;br /&gt;blown on the wind,a brown butterfly.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#11 THE VOLUNTEER&lt;br /&gt;Handshakes,kisses and fond farewell&lt;br /&gt;with destiny's tears nothing could quell.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#12 ETIOLATE&lt;br /&gt;Dahlia petals on the lawn,&lt;br /&gt;dew-sodden,in the October dawn.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#13 AUTUMN&lt;br /&gt;Michelmas daises,limp and old,&lt;br /&gt;amidst fading leaves,now spotted gold.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#14&lt;br /&gt;Across the meadow a country stile;&lt;br /&gt;contemplative ,I sit awhile.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#15&lt;br /&gt;Amid the eerie dayspring light&lt;br /&gt;yesterday's memories glow so bright.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#16 THE BONDSMAN&lt;br /&gt;The hands tick around,one by one;&lt;br /&gt;tedium ends with the setting sun.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#17 SCRUMPING&lt;br /&gt;Apples overhang the prchard wall,&lt;br /&gt;sun-kissed drapes,now about to fall.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#18 ELEVEN,ELEVEN&lt;br /&gt;Explosives whistled all around&lt;br /&gt;where red petals now colour the ground.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#19 JOURNEYS OF THE HEART&lt;br /&gt;On the trail of nows-broken vows&lt;br /&gt;echo to a distant horizon.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#20 WHITE RAIN&lt;br /&gt;Beautiful blossom,a welcome sight.&lt;br /&gt;Nature's emblem,a Spring delight.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#21 HIGASAYAMA(High Mountain parasol)&lt;br /&gt;Bright bonfire-coloured leaves all aglow&lt;br /&gt;in Acer Palmtum's Autumn show.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#22 BEECHWOOD&lt;br /&gt;The polished blade glides to-and-fro;&lt;br /&gt;"Timber"echoes in the glade below.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#23 SCHOOLS OUT&lt;br /&gt;Long,lazy holidays,dry and warm&lt;br /&gt;interlaced by a summer storm.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#24 SHEPHERD's DELIGHT&lt;br /&gt;Sunset peeping under a cloud,&lt;br /&gt;cloaks the landscape in a scarlet shroud.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#25 MALNUTITION&lt;br /&gt;Unheard their endless sounds and sighs;&lt;br /&gt;peircing deep their questioning eyes.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#26 IMPASTO&lt;br /&gt;Poignant passions on canvas splashed&lt;br /&gt;with emotions displayed un-abashed.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#27 FORTIES CHILD&lt;br /&gt;Inkwells in desks with lift-uplids.&lt;br /&gt;Tables written out with old pen-nibs.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#28 ON THE WING&lt;br /&gt;Hot summer days bring into view&lt;br /&gt;A Red Admiral and Holly Blue.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#29&lt;br /&gt;As November draws to its close&lt;br /&gt;the hedgehogs snuggle in dormant pose.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#30&lt;br /&gt;Clouds wine-dark in a vivid hue&lt;br /&gt;drift on a sea of celestial blue.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#31 CANDLEMAS&lt;br /&gt;Aconites gazing into the sun&lt;br /&gt;'neath dangling catkins,finely spun.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#32&lt;br /&gt;I watch a swallow swoop and pass&lt;br /&gt;above an old meadow,lush with grass.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#33 SPRING&lt;br /&gt;Awakened mammals desert their holes&lt;br /&gt;rummaging midst the hazel boles.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#34 FORTIES SUMMER&lt;br /&gt;Winding brooklets fill narrow streams&lt;br /&gt;into rivers of my childhood dreams.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#35 FORTIES HARVEST&lt;br /&gt;Stooked-up sheaves,midst close growing clover&lt;br /&gt;in wind and rain,toppling over.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#36 D-DAY&lt;br /&gt;Lives sacrificed for us,now free&lt;br /&gt;lie quiet,as blossom from a tree.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#37 DECEMBER&lt;br /&gt;Long twilight days in winter's shade&lt;br /&gt;bring to-morrow's snowdrops in the glade.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#38 WEE SMALL HOURS&lt;br /&gt;A whistling wind,a scatter of rain.&lt;br /&gt;Sounds of night on my window pane.&lt;br /&gt;#43 FORTIES PASTIMES&lt;br /&gt;Exploring fields across the brook;&lt;br /&gt;studying in nature's real-time book.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#44 CHILTERN LANDSCAPES&lt;br /&gt;Beechwood,downlands and common heath&lt;br /&gt;with earthy limestone inches beneath.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#45 FLOWERS OF THE FIELD&lt;br /&gt;Daisy,buttercup,yellow cowslip&lt;br /&gt;together mix in fellowship.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#46 GREEN LAND&lt;br /&gt;Purple vetch and ribwort plantain&lt;br /&gt;jostle lush clover in Enlish rain.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#47 HEDGEROW&lt;br /&gt;Dogrose flowers in a briared sprawl&lt;br /&gt;prickles as it meanders tall.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#48 THE RAMBLE&lt;br /&gt;Follow the track with the scenic view&lt;br /&gt;into the wood with its carpet blue.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#49 THE GLUT&lt;br /&gt;Speckled starlings sing with delight&lt;br /&gt;over flying ants in nuptial flight.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#50 THE RIDINGS&lt;br /&gt;Stone bridged hamlets nestle in the Dales&lt;br /&gt;with stone-walled fields along their vales.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#51&lt;br /&gt;By a trickling stream so shallow&lt;br /&gt;willows shadow a purple mallow.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#52 Sea Buckthorn in a dense hedge screen&lt;br /&gt;between Ceanothus ,shaded green.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#53&lt;br /&gt;Scents tomingle in summer heat&lt;br /&gt;Jasmine,Honeysuckle,Bittersweet.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#54 ADAGIO&lt;br /&gt;Sensations tingling up the spine&lt;br /&gt;as heaving emotions re-align.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#55&lt;br /&gt;Moth,butterfly we briefly see&lt;br /&gt;conserved by us ,their steward-trustee.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#56&lt;br /&gt;Clouds of teasels spiral so tall&lt;br /&gt;'midst dancing grasses against a memory's embrace.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#58 DOWN AND OUT&lt;br /&gt;Sounds of lonely ejected sighs&lt;br /&gt;erupt from ruts in life's highways.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#59&lt;br /&gt;Lilies waxing in summer light&lt;br /&gt;A heady fragrance to fill the night.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;#60&lt;br /&gt;The perfumed petals,paperwhite&lt;br /&gt;first intoxicate,then delight.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br
